PAKISTAN, IRAN TO JOINTLY COMBAT TERRORISM

Pakistan and Iran have agreed on the need for closer cooperation among the intelligence agencies in combating terrorism. In a telephone conversation, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani reiterated the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

President Rouhani said that Pakistan and Iran are neighbors and brotherly countries. He said that the role of Pakistan-Iran linkages would remain central in promoting peace, stability and economic development in the region.
