US Special Envoy Zalimay Khalilzad has said the intra-Afghan dialogue for political settlement should be comprehensive and inclusive.
Meeting with Afghan leaders in Kabul, Zalimay Khalilzad said that the peace talks must include representatives from the Afghan government, women and civil society.
Khalilzad discussed with Afghanistan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah international community’s role in an Afghan-led, Afghan-owned peace process.
Khalilzad will arrive in Pakistan today as part of his 17-day tour to regional countries to negotiate a peace deal in Afghanistan.
The US envoy will meet with civil and military leadership during his visit to the country.
