India has said that no Pakistani soldier or citizen died in the Balakot air strike.
New Delhi had formerly claimed that it killed some 300 Pakistanis in the air strike in northern Pakistan.
Speaking in Ahmadabad, India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that the Indian air strike did not kill any Pakistanis.
Responding to the statement in a tweet, military’s spokesman Asif Ghafoor said that that truth has come out at last.
He expressed hope that India will also withdraw its earlier claim of surgical strikes in Pakistan, and downing of F-16 war plane.
Meanwhile, foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan is ready to hold talks with new elected government in India. He said that Pakistan has always played a constructive role for regional peace.
