WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION RECOMMENDS ONE-HOUR SCREEN TIME FOR CHILDREN UNDER FIVE

The World Health Organization has recommended a maximum of one-hour screen time a day for children under Five years.

It said that Infants under one year of age should not be exposed to electronic screens at all.

The United Nations agency has released its first guideline on digital health interventions.

The report stressed that children should be encouraged to get involved in physical games, instead of playing video games and watching TV.

W.H.O said that being inactive is a leading risk factor for mortality, and fuels the global rise in overweight and obesity.
