At least two people including a schoolgirl have been killed with 16 others wounded in a mass stabbing rampage in Japan.
A 57-year old man attacked a group of people with a knife in the town of Kawasaki, south of Tokyo.
The suspect was reported dead from a self-inflicted injury.
Thirteen of the victims were primary schoolgirls aged 6 or 7.
The attack occurred during the busy early morning commute as workers headed to their offices and children to school.
Although Japan has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, it has had a series of high-profile killings.
This is the fourth mass stabbing in the country since 2001.
