Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has discussed OIC reforms with his Turkish and Malaysian counterparts.
The trilateral talks were held on the sidelines of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah.
Qureshi said the reforms should keep in view principles and regulations of transparency and merit.
He said Pakistan wants OIC to be recognized as a proactive organization that can get its laws enforced.
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Malaysia’s Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah lauded Pakistan’s stance.
The three sides reaffirmed bilateral cooperation to make the OIC a more effective intergovernmental organisation.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the OIC summit later today.
