Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Afghan President arrived in Islamabad today, on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, his third since 2014.
The Pakistan PM’s Advisor on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood, welcomed him at Nur Khan Airbase.
President Ghani also inspected a Guard of Honour.
President Ghani spoke to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Qureshi says Pakistan will continue playing its role for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Ghani’s spokesperson says talks with the Taliban, regional connectivity and trade ties will be on his agenda.
This comes after a week-long Afghan peace conference was held in Pakistan.
