Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Friday called Prime Minister Imran Khan via telephone and discussed matters related to bilateral relations and regional issues with him.
PM Imran Khan briefed the Turkish president of the current situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir. They also discussed the Afghan crisis. Pakistani PM assured Erdogan of his full support for peace in Afghanistan.
The two leaders were satisfied with the Pak-Turk relations and agreed on helping each other in various sectors. They also plan to hold a meeting of the Pak-Turk Strategic Cooperation Council in Islamabad this year. Khan has invited Erdogan to visit Pakistan too.
Moreover, Erdogan expressed condolences to Khan over terrorist attacks in Dera Ismail Khan which took 7 lives. He wished God’s mercy on those who were killed and their families.
Nevertheless, both leaders have vowed to maintain good relations between the two countries.
