The third Twenty20 international between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium was abandoned without a ball being bowled on Monday because of bad weather, giving the home side a 2-0 series victory.
Pakistani skipper Babar Azam was declared man of the series for his performance in the first two games.
Pakistan had already wrapped up the three-match series 2-0. Pakistan team claimed a five-wicket win in the series opener on Friday, and the hosts comfortably chased down the 137-run target set by the visiting team in the second match of the series on Saturday.
The series win helped Pakistan hang on to their number one ranking in Twenty20 internationals with 270 points, leading Australia by just one point.
The T20 series was the first of the tour split into three phases. The second phase will begin on February 7 with the first Test in Rawalpindi against Bangladesh, while in the third phase, the Pakistan team will play a sole one-day international and the second Test in the metropolis in the first week of April.
