Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday likened Pakistan to his “second home”, and vowed that Ankara will support Islamabad at Financial Action Task Force (FATF) meetings despite any pressure.
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated Ankara’s support for Pakistan and its stance on the Kashmir issue.
Addressing a joint session of Pakistan’s parliament, Erdogan said Turkey is Pakistan’s strongest ally. He said the two countries share a bond rooted not in interest, but historic affection.
Erdogan, who is on a two-day official trip to Pakistan, addressed the joint session of the parliament today.
“I thank God for giving me this opportunity and I am thankful to each of you for allowing to address this session,” said the Turkish president.
“Relations between Pakistan and Turkey are admirable. Pakistan has always supported Turkey during difficult times.”
