Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated Ankara’s support for Pakistan and its stance on the Kashmir issue.

Addressing a joint session of Pakistan’s parliament, Erdogan said Turkey is Pakistan’s strongest ally. He said the two countries share a bond rooted not in interest, but historic affection.

Erdogan, who is on a two-day official trip to Pakistan, addressed the joint session of the parliament today.

“I thank God for giving me this opportunity and I am thankful to each of you for allowing to address this session,” said the Turkish president.

“Relations between Pakistan and Turkey are admirable. Pakistan has always supported Turkey during difficult times.”
